I just started "Star of the North"...can't recall the author offhand. It's a fictional story about Catherine the Great. It's ok. Not even close to the historical fiction of Phillipa Gregory, though. But I've been looking for a novel about Catherine the Great, and this was the only one I could find. <shrug>

I quit The Mists of Avalon.
Moving onto Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. It's been years since I've read this. For some reason, I've been wanting to read this and Tom Sawyer again.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn--very good
The Namesake--good book....my friend really liked it though
Seducing Harry----this was kinda smutty for book club, but hey I didnt pick it

I'm just about to start The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger for my IRL book club. I've read it before so I was so excited to have an excuse to buy it and read it again. I had it from the library before and it's WONDERFUL.
Can't wait!

I decided to read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain first before moving onto Huck Finn.
Just thought I'd let you know. Now everyone can go on living.
