Now I am reading Those who Save Us by Jenna Blum and its really getting to be good, I almost could not put it down last night.

Our book club at church read: "Snowflower and the Secret Fan" by Lisa See. It's about foot binding and the Chinese culture. I wasn't sure about reading it but it turned out to be a really good book. I'd recommend it. After about 10 pages I was hooked. The graphic description and information about foot binding was hard to read but other than that I did okay with it.
We also read "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamant. This book was biblical history but from a women's perspective. I liked it more than I thought I would...not the best I've read but okay.
I also just finished "Of Mice and Men", John Steinbeck. It was something that my SS was reading at school and I just didn't get to it. It was the typical "sad and bad ending" that I remember from "The Pearl" and "East of Eden" but I was glad that I read it. He always makes me think.
