My IRL book club just picked The Great Gatsby. Am I the only one who has never read this?? I am waiting to pick it up at the library. We do two picks at a time so I cant wait to hear what the other pick is--I have no book right now!

I finally finished Fall on Your Knees today. What a sad, messed up bunch of characters! Very moving and well written. I checked out Those Who Save Us yesterday and get to start that now.

I'm sorry I don't bring more recommendations to this group. I'm too busy reading all the great finds you talk about! ;)

I'm picking up All the Numbers at the library today for my IRL book club. I'll let you know how it is.

ETA: I stayed up way too late finishing We Need to Talk About Kevin last night. I can't decide whether to recommend it or not. It makes me appreciate my little angels a lot more, that's for sure.

I am going to wait awhile on it--since everyone in our book club would have had to buy it or pass it around. I am dying to read it though!

I decided I'm going to take a little break from downer lit. All the Numbers is about a mom whose son dies. I can't do it after Kevin. So, last night I started reading The Queen's Fool by Phillipa Gregory.

The Preacher's Daughter by Beverly Lewis, about an Amish community. Really enjoying it and moving through it quickly!

Yes, it is. Actually, she has a couple of series regarding the Amish culture. I think this series is called "Annie's People". It was quick reading, but I really enjoyed it and finished the book last night. Trying to decide if I want to move right on to book 2 right away or read "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" which I just picked up from the library.

I picked A Tree Grows in Brooklyn for my IRL book club awhile back--it was unanimous---we all LOVED the story! Enjoy!
