Anita Shreve, right? I've read a bunch of hers but I don't think I've read that one. Maybe Kerry?

I am starting to think I just flat out dont enjoy Anita Shreves writing. I loathed A Wedding in December, I only thought the Pilots Wife was good and not great and this book is just killing me as I dont feel like the charachters are developing and I am over 200 pages in....I think I would like this book alot more if it was just about Honora and Sextons life. I enjoy this time period, but I am not liking it.....

I haven't read Wedding and I liked Pilot's Wife, but don't think if was her best. If you're still willing to give her a try, I thought Fortunes Rock was really good as well as Last Time They Met (this one is a prequel/sequel to another one she wrote and I can't think of what it's called right now...I liked LTTM better than the prequel/sequel). All He Ever Wanted was also good.

Ditto! I loved Fortune's Rocks, it was a favorite of mine. I never read Last Time They Met but I think it is a sequel to The Weight of Water, another good book from her (though I hated that ending). I think some of Anita's earlier books were better written, than she started getting too Danielle Steele/Nicholas Sparks on me.

Has anyone read Light on Snow by her?? I really liked that one and my mom did too. Haven't read The Pilot's Wife, started it once and couldn't get into it. Haven't tried Wedding in December.
