I read YOU: on a Diet, but Roizen http://www.amazon.com/You-Owners-Manual-Wa...4615&sr=8-1 & The Eat-Clean Diet by Tosca Reno http://www.eatcleand...om/Default.aspx
They were both pretty good reading. You: on a Diet goes over more specifics on how your body works to process foods and the hormones, etc. I thought it was very informative. The diet & exercise plan I didn't think was the best, but the rest of it was good.
The Eat-Clean Diet is already very similar to how I eat anyway- she recommends good complex carbs (oatmeal, brown rice, whole grains, etc) paired w/ lean proteins (chicken, lean meats, egg whites, etc) and lots of fruit & veggies. Very limited white flours/ sugars. Good recipes in her book! I'm a huge fan of starting my day out w/ a bowl of oatmeal w/ healthy additions so I was glad to see she recommends that. And she also recommends drinking at least 16 oz of water as soon as you wake up.
Just thought I'd post in case anyone was interested! I just borrowed them from the library so you might check your local library!
Hugs,
Jess
