My inner knee feels tight...both of them. Both of them felt really weird this morning...sore! I rubbed the area, and I couldn't "feel" the soreness (touching the area didn't make it feel worse or better). I'm a little baffled what to do with it.
I slowed down and went about 2 miles less than I'd planned. I stretched my usual stretches when I finished, but none of them seems to reach the right area.
Does anyone have a clue what I am talking about? LOL
Help me...I will implode if I can't get out and walk! While it's not debilitating, I don't want it to get worse.

Not sure but are you wearing new shoes? Did you buy a new pair?

Hmmm.... I don't know of any stretches for the inner knee. Mine's always been the outer part of my knee (IT band). Do you know what pigeon stretch is? (yoga) That might help. http://www.yogajourn...yoga/1808_1.cfm Here's a link to pigeon & you can look at lots of other poses you might try to help stretch it out. Hope the pain goes away soon!!

Hugs,
Jess

I am not wearing new shoes...I haven't gotten out to the store yet. By mileage, I should have about another 1-2 months left on these. It feels okay now, after some ibuprofen. I am wondering if I have added a bit too much mileage too fast? I have been adding about 1-2 miles a week for the past few weeks--I think I did 34 last week. This is the same knee pain/discomfort (isn't actually PAIN yet) I feel when I've tried running in the past. It feels...tight and like my cartilage has disappeared.
Jess, I will look into the yoga poses and keep up my ibuprofen. Thanks.

It could be a combination of the shoes and the mileage addition...just a guess. I know I get knee problems when my shoes are starting to wear out even if they look fine since you can't see the wear and tear on the cushion. Hope your knee feels better soon! ((Hugs)) :yahoo:

I took ibuprofen before I left this morning and it didn't hurt. I felt like two almost-twinges, but nothing else. I am wondering...I am retaining a lot of water right now, which is realized when I stepped on the scale this morning and it was 1.5 pounds heavier than 2 days ago...I am wondering if that's why my knee feels "puffy" (but not to the touch, but internally)?
Joints are a funny thing...LOL.
