I've been staying up late all week to get my work done and pulled some all nighters, taking 2-4 hr nap in between working when my eyes couldn't stay open. I really wanted to quit yesterday because I don't know how much longer I can continue to work like this. I haven't cooked all week or had much time with my kids. I even had to miss seeing them in their day camp show today...talk about mommy guilt. ;) I'm thankful that DH's schedule is flexible enough that he was able to drop off and pick up the kids and be at the performance.

Anyways, this morning I talked to my manager about some work that needed to be done and at the end, he congratulated me for making my 10 year work anniversary. I wasn't very enthusiastic at the time from all the work stress but he later told me that I have been an important part of people's lives and he sent a note to everyone I work with. I started receiving nice notes from people and it made my day go by much better. Some copied my manager and one person sent me a note for our company's thank you gift program. And just about an hour ago, I opened the door and received a box of Mrs. Field's cookies from my new manager congratulating me for 10 yrs. Funny how a bad week is turning around just by a few nice notes and a box of cookies!

I still have more work to do and am hopeful that next week will turn out better and that I have some "me" time for exercise!

Thanks for reading!

That's great that people are appreciating your hard work.
I hope you get to have some time for yourself in the coming week.

Ahhh Winnie, that sounds like so much work! I don't function well with lack of sleep. I don't know how you are doing it!! At least they showed some appreciation. Hopefully you have a better week next week. You need to have some time for yourself!! (((HUGS)))

Thanks gals for listening...just needed to get it all out since I was driving my DH crazy all week. That's what happens when you don't see people IRL at work. I feel better now that I had time to get some exercise and I got some sleep last night. :)

:grouphug: I know how hard it is to work at that pace. You can't keep that up for very long. I hope you get some well-deserved rest soon!

At least it helps to know all your efforts are appreciated.

Peace,
Karen
