The young couple who was interested in our house came by today for a third showing. They both really like it and so does their 6 year old. They want to buy it but my agent told me they were only approved for around $280,000...$35,000 less than our asking price. It isn't even an option for us to consider.

They haven't formally made an offer, because my agent knew we wouldn't be overly impressed with what they got. She suggested they go to their bank and see what they can arrange, but I highly doubt they'll come up with anything decent.

DH never heard back from that job he applied for at a local high school. so it looks like he'll commute again for another year.

It isn't an ideal situation, but at least we now aren't so up in the air.

What a bummer that that the potential buyers can't make the financing work. YOu never know though. Maybe they have family that will help them out.

Sorry to hear that your DH is going to have that long commute again this year. That must be so tough.
