Heartbreaker by Julie Garwood, great book so far. I just finished her other one, Killjoy, really enjoyed that one too. Both fast reads. I'll be starting "Broken Music: A Memoir" by Sting later this week and I'll be putting up a review of "No Fat Chicks", an interesting read about women being brainwashed into thinking that size 2 is the norm kinda thing.

I'm simultaneously reading "Metro Girl" and "Eleven On Top" by Janet Evanovich. I am still waiting for the holiday novella between 9 and 10 to come in off hold. Hm...why does it take others so long to read these books when I tear through them? LOL

I also read a few pages here and there of the Blue Nile book that DH wants me to read. Mostly to appease him but I have to admit that it is interesting to some degree.

I picked up "The Historian" today at the library from Rachel's recommendation. I've read the first 30 or so pages already and can tell I'm really going to enjoy it. Thanks Rachel!

I have the Historian upstairs but I've never started it. Maybe I'll give it a shot!

I listened to this on the way to my parents last week. Very good. I smiled so much in the end...lol! It only took 4 hours to listen to so it should be a pretty fast read. I'm now listening to She is Me when Kinsey isn't in there with me. There wasn't a lot to chose at the library from when I was picking CD's for my trip. Most things in my library are donated and they have tons of cassettes. It's interesting but very involved. I may just turn it back in since I'm only half way through.
I just finished reading 2 Debbie Macomber books, The Shop on Blossom Street and A Good Yarn. Both were very good. I just checked her website and she has a new book out in the series that I'm going to have to look for.
I haven't picked up anything new yet. I have a stack of paperbacks to choose from and some new magazines to catch up on.

The Historian only gets one thumb up from me. It was very vivid and descriptive, that part I liked. It reminded me of The DiVinci Code with vampires. But it was very long and wordy, not really what I'd describe as a page turner. It took me awhile to get into. To quote Randy Jackson, it was just OK for me, lol.
