yes fiction. about life as a middle-upper class black, about mid-life crises, about academia, about beauty in all it's shapes . . . I'm probably not selling it well but it was a top 10 of the year from the NYTimes booklist . . . and great writing.
finished my work last night at 11 then had to stay up and finish . . . yawn

I am about 1/2 way through "Metro Girl" by Evanovich -- it's getting better -- I see some of her wit in the diaglogue but it's not a Stephanie Plum novel.
I also read a few pages of "The Bourne Ultimatum". I wanted to read the book before seeing the movie. I used to read Robert Ludlum before any movies were made...I started when I had a Modern Fiction class at my community college some 20 or so years ago. I'm not a diehard fan but I enjoy the adventure and intrigue now and again.
Nick and I just finished #20 of the Magic Tree House series..."Dingoes at Dinnertime". He is reading "Beavers Beware", a level 2 book and doing just great! Next it's onto "Civil War on Sunday", #21.

Darn -- I just realized that I need to find "Plum Lovin'" before I read "Lean Mean Thirteen" and the library's catalog is "down" right now so I can't request it. Hm....I will just keep trying!
