What is your favorite healthy snack? It can be something you make from scratch or grab-n-go. I need to have better options around me so less-than-optimal snacks aren't so tempting! Have you found a product you love?

Nuts and dried fruits
String cheese
Whole grain crackers
Fresh fruit
Baby carrots

I think you're learning I'm not likely to make something from scratch (except Sangria.......I'm making my own Sangria for our party tomorrow night....don't think that would qualify here! LOL!), so easy stuff to grab is my best bet.

I usually stick w/ fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, mixed nuts, almonds, or Kashi cereal (GoLean or Vive being my favorites).

I have tried the Fiber One bars & they are tasty for a quick snack. I love the Kashi TLC crackers too, but I want to eat the whole box so I limit myself. :hugs:

HTH!

Hugs,
Jess

I try to stick with fruit and veggies as much as possible. I also like to snack on cheese and crackers (sometimes) or yogurt. I also really like the Luna Bars or Kashi granola bars. HTH.

I like the Kashi products too.I usually keep the crunchy granola bars and the TLC crackers on hand.Like Jess,I want to eat the whole box too so I make sure I count out only 1 serving.
I also snack on hard boiled egg white, low fat string cheese, low fat yogurt, half a serving of almonds with a few dried cranberries, fruit & veggies.
I like frozen blueberries too.
HTH!

How could I forget hummus?! I've been big into hummus for the past few months. Our health food store makes containers of it and it's really good as a sub for mayo on sandwiches or I scoop it up on flat bread, crackers, pitas or pita chips. Love it.

The "recipe of the week" on The World's Healthiest Foods website is an awesome looking apple tart. I'm thinking I'm going to give this a try this weekend. http://whfoods.com/g...=recipe&dbid=67
