I've been tracking my food on thedailyplate.com and realizing again how all those little things add up quickly! But, I've managed to do ok. The only exercise I've fit in this week has been pilates, but the heat and humidity broke so I'm hoping to get a bike ride or walk in tonight.

I walked on my treadmill both Monday & Tuesday. Today it is beautiful out, so I hope to get in some outdoor exercise today- either hiking or biking.....

Foodwise, I've eaten too much corn on the cob...with butter....it is soooooo good.....but not the best choice for me.

Just got back from the gym, and it didn't go well.

I did the leg machines, started arms did the lap pull down, chest press, moved to shoulder press.

I did one rep of 12, started on second set and at number 4 I got really hot, 5 started sweating, 6 my eyes started rolling back in my head.

I was so hot felt like I was burning up, really dizzy.

Not sure what that is about, lack of food, lack of water, took much weight.

Too big a work out for first time back.

Needless to say my trainer was freaked, she called another trainer over to watch me and talk to me.

I never lost consciousness, just got really dizzy.

Any ideas ....

The eating still not going so well this week, but PMS is kicking my butt so I blame it on that. I am doing fairly well with portions, its just the choices haven't been great and there's been too much chocolate. :hugs:

Monday I ended up doing some informal exercise I guess, lol. DH got us a bunch of new music and finally put it in our itunes and I had some sort of second wind at like 11 at night. So while we were listening to some stuff I was dancing around and practicing some of my bellydance moves. Tuesday I followed along with "Shimmy", its a bellydance workout-y type of show on FitTV, and then went for an hour walk last night.

Today...not sure what the plan is. My knee is really hurting and I'm not sure why. It has been bothering me off and on lately, but not this bad. I guess maybe the walking made it worse? I don't know if I should rest it or push through the pain and keep working it.

Eek! Scary! I get like that when my blood sugars drop too low. I need to make sure I eat and have some protein in me in the morning if I'm going to work out. Hope you're feeling better!

I've seen "Shimmy" on Fitv. Well, I've never watched it, but I've seen it on the schedule. LOL

IMO, I don't think you should "push through the pain." I read a great book called "No Need for Speed" which is a running book, but I think mostly it's just a great book on exercise in general, especially for the "average joe." Anyway, he talks quite a bit about pushing through the pain and how harmful it usually end up being in the long run. I'd find something more low-impact to do, like pilates or weights while it heals. :yahoo:

Okay. After I dropped Colin off at football practice (with dh), I took DS#1 to the park to hike. We climbed the first big hill and were 5 minutes into it and he's like how far are we going? WHAT??? After that first hill the rest of the trail is nothing, and he climbed it with no problems....I was the one huffing & puffing!!! We walked the trailed to the end and turned around and came back. In all it was 1.5 miles and took about 30 minutes. Then we drove to the Nature Center at the park but it was closed, so we walked around the marsh and went back to football practice to get Colin because DH had to stay for a coaches meeting.

I went for a 2 mile run tonight. I was just going to go for a nice, quiet walk, but decided to run it instead. (I think I got inspired by Elizabeth's post about her new running shoes and felt bad that mine were being neglected! LOL) Haven't done much running in the past year, but it went better than I expected and I felt good!
