Here on the Cape, things are just awful. I have read that it's 23% lower than last year, and last year was pretty bad. Houses sit on the market forever. Everywhere I look, I see signs that say "Price Reduced". How about your area?

Here it seems like the less expensive houses are selling much faster than the higher priced ones. A few near me have sold in a couple months which I consider pretty fast in these times!

My uncle is a builder and he built a bunch of houses in Franklin, MA. They are on the market for around $900,000 and they are not selling fast at all. Before they were flying off the market.

I think we're seeing a lot of "price reductions" becuase people still thik they can get a huge price for their house when the realiy is they can't now.

Um, it sucks. the two major employers in our county (GM and the Air Force) are both leaving, so everyone's house is for sale...and not selling.

I keep hearing the market is saturated. There are so many homes on the market right now. The only silver lining is that they say that existing home sales are higher than brand new home sales. *sigh*
