Have to look for Karen's (Peace~Karen) recipe later...I have to leave now to pick up my work laptop from deskside support so I don't have time to look but I'll look for it later unless someone else posts it first.

This is how I've been preparing it lately since I need a quick breakfast. The night before, I take 1 cup of steel cut oats and pour 3.5 cups of boiling water over it in a covered pot. The next morning I just add some soymilk (maybe 1/2-1 cup), stir it and cook over medium low heat for about 10 minutes. You can add anything you like in it. I add fresh or dried fruit and ground flaxseed.

Thank you! I have craisins- I bet those would be good stirred in! And I like the idea of the ground flaxseed! Thanks! Kari

I add chopped walnuts, ground flax seed and a tad of local honey~ It's my favorite breakfast in the winter~ not so much in the summer though~ It does take a while to cook, I'm going to try Winnie's method of soaking overnight.
