and my head is spinning now!!! So many things I didn't think of before. The only problem is that our allowance is going to get us crap! ;) Looks like we may be breaking the old piggy bank when it comes to getting our kitchen cabinets...don;t even get me going on appliances! ;)

I guess no Viking stove & range for me! ;)

LOL - I feel your pain Kelly!! I just went through this - is your cabinet allowance just for kitchen cabinets or is it like mine which was cabinets, vanities and countertops?

Viking would have been nice here too but we ended up with Kenmore ELite which BTW are very nice (we used to have a JennAIr - so our only requirement was that it be dual fuel)

Good luck with your choices - what type of wood are you leaning toward?

I'm so not ready for a huge project like building a house! Hope you can find something you like. You know you'll love it all when it's done!! :swoon:

I think we are leaning towards Maple. I like the Shrock, Galena cabinet. Our allowance is for vanities & counters too! :swoon: I think it's only $7,000

Oh you are so screwed - we have a small kitchen and our budget was $11K for cabinets, countertops and vanities. The countertop alone was like $5K - we gotgeneric Corian.

Good luck - our old house had Maple - new house has cherry.

My brother has a spec house on the market - he put a $25K kitchen in it!!
