Title :: Broiled Talapia Parmesan/Romano Recipe
Author :: pygmyhippo
Category :: Fish
Ingredients ::
  • 2-3 lbs. Talapia Fillet
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup parmesan and/or romano cheese (I used a combination)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup butter melted (I used 1/2 cup for 3 lbs. talapia)
  • 3 Tbsp or more mayonaise (I used 3 heaping Tbsp)
  • 2-3 Tbs. lemon juice
  • Dried Basil
  • Black Pepper
  • Onion Powder or Minced Onion (I used minced onion)
  • Celery Salt (I used Celery Seed and then Salt)
Description ::
2-3 lbs. Thawed Talapia Broiled

Preheat Broiler.

Place Fish in a dish/pan lined with foil. I used the non-stick foil and put it in two casserole dishes.

Arrange filets in a single layer.

Season fish with: basil, black pepper, minced onion and celery seed/salt. I just sprinkled each side of the fish.

Keep oven open while broiling. Broil 3 minutes per side.

Combine the rest of the ingredients: butter, mayo, lemon juice and cheese.

Spread the cheese mixture liberally onto the fish.

Broil again with the oven open until the top turns brown and is crusted and fish flakes easily. (I believe I broiled the fish another 5-6 minutes.)

Serve immediately.
