I was telling my dh that I needed new sneakers and said I had run 144 miles in these, so I looked back and by golly it was one year ago today that I first logged into ifit.com and made an attempt at running!

so, one year ago was:

04/06/05 8:47 AM 1.10 miles 30:00 min

today:
04/06/06 5:06 PM 2.39 miles 41:00 min

In the year since then I have taken a few courses, broken a toe, remodeled a bathroom, gone on 2 vacations and had one heck of a killer sinus infection.

Honestly, it was you ladies (Jess in particular) that really inspired me to try running, I know I don't post all that much but I trully appreciate you all so much!

Rock on ladies! If this asthmatic, 38 year old mother of 4 college student can do it well then a zombie could, ROFL!

WTG!! That is awesome!! I just started running last July, and it's something I *still* can't believe I'm doing!LOL.

Have you noticed any difference in your athsma? I've noticed mine has gotten *so* much better since I've been running. I *rarely* need my inhaler anymore....although I still have a problem when it's cold out.

WTG Amy!! What a difference a year makes, huh?? That's awesome!!! I'm so happy for you! You know, a year ago I was mainly only running on my treadmill for about 3 miles & I think my longest distance was 5 miles!! And now after 2 mos off, I can still go out & run those 5 miles!! Keep it up, you've done fABulous!! Any races in the future for you??
