It was such a blessing & so much fun to be with a huge group of ladies!! We had a wonderful speaker & we had workshops also. I won't get too preachy, but it was just a wonderful blessing to me! My favorite one was called a Healthy Reflection. I was surprised that I was the only one that knew some of the answers- things like how many grams of fiber should you have a day, how many glasses of water, that sort of thing!!! One of the ladies in my church told me later that I should do a workshop at our church, and I told her that I'd love to do it!! And, the lady that did the healthy workshop is a nurse & lives in a town about 45 min from me. She had mentioned that she had begun running so I talked to her afterward & it sounds like she wants to train to do that half marathon in Sept!!! So we exchanged email addresses. Very neat!

Anyway, my friend Marsha straightened my hair. It was funny how many people commented on it since I went with curly hair on Friday & came in with straight hair on Saturday!! I kept it straight & wore it to church today & I couldn't believe how many people commented on it! Greg likes it & the girls just love it for some reason!! It's a nice change, I might buy a straightener to do it sometimes, but it would take me a long time to do myself!

Great to hear that you enjoyed yourself. You look great, as usual. I really like the straight hair, makes a nice change. You're back yard looks really cool. No neighbors in back? I live on three acres of land and really love the private feeling it gives. I only have one neighbor which is cool too!!!! LOL Great pics!

Thanks, Gin! It was a nice change for today!! I'll be back to boring old curly Jess tomorrow! We do have neighbors in back, but they're way back & we have a fence back there. We have about 2/3 of an acre lot in a country neighborhood which we love. Eventually we want to have more property, but it's so expensive around here!

Thanks, Michelle!! Girl, you're invited any time!! Greg's the Master griller!! Greg did all of the landscaping there leading to the playset- it used to be just grass which would get so muddy!! I love our back yard too, that's just a part of it! But right now it's a mess & needs a major overhaul after the winter- tons of pine cones, leaves, and all kinds of stuff to be done!! The weather's supposed to be nice all week so we should be able to do some yard work!

Thanks, Cheryl!! I know you're kind of a newbie & probably haven't seen any other pics of me, but my hair is normally very very curly! Pilates ROCKS for toning. And it works fast too, gotta love it! I've been doing it almost 2 yrs now, but when I first started it had really dramatic results. (BTW, I'm on the infomercial w/ LS also) I have gone from a size 10/12 to a size 4. My hubby was amazed at the results too!

You definitely can do Pilates & still be an awesome Mommy. Actually, it's made me a much better mommy because I have so much more energy to keep up w/ my kids & I'm teaching them healthy habits too! You've definitely found the answer to getting in shape w/ Pilates! I'm much smaller than I was before I had my kids which feels great! You go too, girl!!

Thanks, Winnie!! Yep, us opposites- to switch hair you'd have to curl forever & I'd have to straighten forever! It was a wonderful time & Greg did great w/ the kids! He even took them to soccer & did some yard work!

Your hair is so long now! It looks awesome. You know I've always wanted curly hair, I have a good friend who has the curly curly hair and when she pulls is straight from short cut it's so much longer than it looks. Must have been a nice treat to see the difference.

I know, it did look so long straight! That's how it feels when I get out of the shower & within an hour or so it starts to shrink up!! I'm definitely going to get a straightening iron so I can do it sometimes for a nice change!

Thanks for the compliments! I love our yard too, but it is a lot of work!! The kids love it & it stays nice & cool from all of the trees so we spend lots of time back there in the summer!
