Well, I'm a big fan of glucosamine, I've been taking it for well over a year now & it's helped my toes & my knees. It's helped my Mom's arthritis a lot also in her toes & knees.

And also, as for time, I think an average time for 2 miles would be about 30 min? (15 min miles) I guess you should just set a goal & work your way up to it!! Good luck!

Hugs,
Jess

I'm with Jess! I started taking glucosamine/chondroitan supplements about 2 months ago while I was studying for comps & not really exercising. I figured I was still doing something that would help me when I started back...LOL!! What I have noticed since getting back into pilates & running is how much better my hip & knees feel! It's really amazing!!! Before, my left hip would pop every time I did the leg circles or single leg stretch, but it rarely pops now. My knees & hip are no longer sore after running too! I would say to give it a try & see how it makes you feel. Just be sure to give it several weeks before deciding it doesn't work...it does take some time to make a difference.

I LOVE Ryka shoes! I buy the walking shoes & wear them when we take the boys to the zoo or anywhere else that requires a lot of walking. Enjoy them...they should really help your legs feel better while you train!
