I'm finishing up Cornwell's Scarpetta Factor. I think I have 100-150 pages to go yet. I actually
last night which is rare for me w/these books but it was just so darn funny...something about getting used to a new Blackberry phone and taking a picture of his foot vs. adjusting the volume. Since I'm feeling a bit "phone challenged" myself with my new phone, I could relate. I guess it just "struck me".
I was cleaning my home office this morning and went through a stack of books that I haven't yet read. Oh, how I wish I had more time to read! I need a vacation to just sit and curl up with a few, good books!

I just finished Say You're One Of Them which is a book of 5 short stories that Oprah picked, for my IRL book club #2. and can I just say it's perfect for this time of year as I got down and gave thanks for my blessed life after reading that book.
omg
hard to read at times as the dialog was part in various african dialects or french etc . . . so you had to guess at times . . . made it authentic perhaps to a fault for me.
and hard to read for the story lines which although fictionalized are probably very true. that's frightening.
I'd recommend it for an eye-opening experience.
and now . . . what to choose next? I have both IRL book clubs meeting in the next 5 days so I might stick with magazines until then.

I think I'm giving up on A Million Little Pieces. For some reason I can't get past the whole thing about him making it up and passing it off as a memoir. I thought I'd be able to just read it as a work of fiction, but I keep trying to catch him in things that don't add up. On to find something else...maybe the next Outlander book.
