I'm reading Cather in the Rye. DH finished it so I'm now officially very far behind. He would like to discuss the book on Dec. 18th so I have my marching orders!

I finished Shanghai Girls and really liked it. Maybe not as much as Snow Flower... but I liked it, and look forward to reading more of her books.

Last night I started "Day After Night" by Anita Diamant (author of "The Red Tent")

Let me know how you like Day After Night. Our IRL book club read The Red Tent so I'm curious if it's a good one.

The Red Tent is one of my all time favorite books. This book is about the time immediately following WWII and is told through the voices of 4 different Jewish women; I'm really looking forward to getting into it!

I also finished Shanghai Girls and really liked it. I am now reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown....it hasn't grabbed me yet but I'll sick with it.

After that I plan on reading a book Called "Abandoned" by Cody McFaydan. A patron returned it ans said it was the worst book she ever read, filled with violence and depravity...sounds right up my alley!
