Is there anything that you read each year to or with your children? Please share!

We read Twas the Night Before Christmas but we also read this book:

http://www.amazon.com/Santas-Twin-Dean-Koo...2626&sr=8-1 by Dean Koontz. I used to read Konntz's books all the time. And, I found this book that the boys love to search through for the hidden snowmen. The book is just silly too because Santa's twin is a bit "evil". Anyone else read this one?

Not really. Every year before opening presents at my mom's we read the account of the birth of Jesus from the book of Luke in the Bible.

I like to read the book "Unafraid" by Francine Rivers...a fictional account of Mary. It is so well written and is really moving.

the girls get to unwrap a new book on christmas eve, and it's always a winter/holiday book. they love it.

my dad, fyi, continues to be "appalled" by this tradition because we never NEVER opened presents early! he shakes his head every year. ha! lol

my feeling was, though, that at least one book won't get lost in the shuffle.

We read T'was the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve. We have a beautiful pop up version that is very special.

Mrs. Claus also brings each kid a special book.....a hardcover that is wrapped. They are always very excited to see what new book they get.
