I just got the nerve up a few weeks ago to use the band. I wishI had done it long ago! I have been doing the abs with the band and really like it but now I am reading about the circle and not sure how that differs from the band? Would it be worth it to get now or should I use the band for awhile and work up to the circle? TIA!

My only thought would be is different resistance. With the the band you are pulling and with the cirlce you are pushing. I guess they would work different muscles.

The nice thing about the band is that it makes some moves easier (for example, I like the roll ups and teaser type moves better with the band). It jumps your regular winsor workout up a notch with the added resistance, too.

The circle is just a different type of resistance. Personally, I don't think you need to work up to it. I think it's doable now. It may be a challenge for some moves but you'll gain strength in no time. the Sculpting circle sculpted my arms way better than the weights used in upper body scultping or anything else. I love the sculpting circle.

I think it's worth it to have both. The more variety you have the less likely you'll get bored with your workout routine....

The circle & band are both good at adding variety to the *basic* pilates moves. I love the circle, you really have to focus more on even the basic moves squeezing your butt & thighs more, etc. Plus it's great for your arms & shoulders too!! The great thing about it is that you can work it as hard as you like. For beginners, you won't squeeze as hard but as you build up strength it will get easier! I love it!

OH great, now I have to go get this one too :P
I need to work my arms more, that's the one place that I don't really work out and I know I want to work that! Thanks for the replies!
