Will they read something related to Ground Hog's Day? Will they bring a book home from the school library on the topic?

Making his way through the Magic Treehouse books, he's on no. 20 I believe.

Nick is reading Dr. Carbles is Losing his Marbles, #19 in the Weird School Series.

Alex is reading level books from his teacher/class. He's up to "purple" and yesterday's book was 424 words. I'd say he's reading Level 2s and Level 3s basically. This book last night was rated a 19 on some scale. There are so many scales. Anyway, he's progressing and I couldn't be more pleased and how fluent he's becoming! And, he's enjoying it which is the best part.

Brayden is reading one of his current favorite series. Its called "Abner and Me". They are baseball card series books where the main character travels back in time to meet historical figures of baseball. He finished Jackie and Me and loved it so now its on to Hornace and Me, which he is reading at school and Abner at home. They are written by Dan Gutman (the same guy who writes the Weird School books).

ETA: I am also reading "The BFG" aloud to all the kids (DH too, LOL). Its one of my FAVORITE books. I love Roald Dahl. And I'm reading one of the Magic Rainbow Fairy books aloud to Olivia since its a bit to hard for her still.

This is why I love this thread: I had no idea about the Abner and Me series. I'm sure Alex and maybe even Nick would love these books. I'm going to order a couple from our local library to be put aside. I'm sure they'll have them. Thank you!
