What are you reading this week? (February 7th)

I'm still reading Ahab's Wife. And, I just have to say that I know where my boys get their stubborn streak. I have time to be reading this book but because I have to read it for book club I sometimes avoid it. I'm even enjoying it but I don't like to be on a schedule all the time. Oh, Lordy do I understand where they are coming from so I can't get too mad at them when they are stubborn and it seems silly.

I still need to get started on The Art of Racing in the Rain. Too much basketball and SuperBowl fanfare this weekend so I didn't get to it. This is a busy week too (aren't they all?) but hoping to squeeze time in!

Okay, finished Racing in the Rain. Cried my eyes out. But so good! Now I will hijack The Lightning Thief from Brayden at night after he's in bed.

it's snowing. a. lot. so a better question is: what am I NOT reading? lol
finished Breath of Snow and Ashes (book 6 of Outlander) that was about 600 of the 1,000 page book I had left. Read through my stack of magazines clipped recipes, etc for a day and a half. Now I'm trying once again on A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving, I mean to give it 1/2 a day and see if I can get to a spot where I like it better.
if not I'll have to turn to Echo in the Bone (#7 Outlander) as both of my IRL book club books are not in my house and there's no way for me to get them. argh. one is at the neighbor's (1 mile away = impossible to get to) and one at the library (closed all week).
sigh

Right now I'm reading too many books, lets see if I can remember them all.
Nonverbal Learning Disabilities for Parents
The Out-of-Sync child
Sushi for Beginner's by Marian Keyes.
The Gather Storm by Robert Jordan
There are a couple more but I'm drawing a blank right now.

Picked up "The Help" from the library reserve. I've heard great things about it, so I'm looking forward to getting started!

This was a good book. I have been to Mississippi many times and there is a lot of racial tensions, even still.
