Still reading "Alice I Have Been." I was about ready to give up in it; the first part just didn't grab me. But it got great reviews, so I decided to keep with it a little longer and now I'm starting to get into it much more!

ok, funny as I picked up Oryx and Crake on Wednesday, got it for Christmas as I'd read about it and the second in the series, the Year of the Flood and thought I'd start with the first. well darned if the woman holding club on Thurs didn't choose The Year of the Flood!! wild. so will finish Oryx and Crake then move on to that! it's been a while since I've read a Margaret Atwood, so far enjoying.

Finished "Alice I have Been" last night. It was ok. Not as good as I'd expected from the reviews, but maybe it was just me. It wasn't bad...just didn't grab me. I was, however, shocked to find out that Lewis Carroll was surrounded by some scandel. Had no idea.
I'm starting "Peony in Love" by Lisa See (author of Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.)
