-- Many on spring break w/the Easter Holiday. So, I'm not sure if we'll have more or less posts. I'm going to try a two-week post for the topic.

Matt found a new series he's enjoying called "The Gecko and Sticky" I think. It's by the author of the Sammy Keyes series that Kayleigh loves. Every day so far he's been up early reading, or turning off the tv to read. There's another series by that same author that I checked out for him called "Shredderman" but he hasn't started that one. Next week is spring break, so I'm sure he'll read through those next week.

Kayleigh is making her way through Harry Potter.

at Kinsey's 9 week evaluation last week her teacher mentioned that K needs to read aloud more so we have gone back to the basics and she's been reading her Dr. Seuss books to me. :yahoo: I love the word play in them and even though they are easy for her they are something she can read in one sitting. Kinsey wants to read The Hobbit this summer and I think I'll find a copy for her. Her teacher has read it to them all year and she's enjoyed it. I tihnk reading on her own as a summer project is a good idea.

Nick is still reading Shredderman and Alex is reading books from his teacher's classroom that are level appropriate.

Nick also picked up the 2nd Boxcar children series book and was reading that on Sunday in church.

I'm trying to get Alex to read the Boxcar "Benny and Watch" series this week. We read a couple pages of Book #4 tonight -- he read to me before he got extra tired. He's still getting over a cough and cold.

Nick is still reading the 2nd Boxcar children series book.
