Just wanted to clarify that I give the boys a minimum time frame daily to give them a goal and some structure. They work better with structure. And, they don't complain about reading. It's a way for them to show responsibility too.

Nick's reading The Amazing Spiderman Evil Comes in Pairs and an Encyclopedia Brown book. He said he may start one of his new Michigan Chiller books that he picked up in Iron Mountain this year and had signed by the author.
Alex is also trying to read the same Spiderman book although it's a bit above his reading level. I will be making an effort to work with Alex this week. He does have #10 in the series of Freddie Fernortner books and that may interest him.

Same here! Matt usually has a good chunk of his 30 minutes done before leaving for summer school in the morning at 7:30. And he never complains about "having" to read. He's almost finished with "The Boy who Saved Baseball" and seems to be loving it. Looks like we'll need to make a trip to the library to pick up a few more books this week.
