Same old story here...houses are for sale everywhere and none are going anywhere. Remember my whiny post about how I was jealous that my neighbor's house was thisclose to selling? She had a third showing after only a month on the market, but it didn't sell. She did get an offer, but it was $25,000 less than her asking price and they declined it. So it still sits.

How is everyone??

We are here! And we're in this house to stay for a while! Taxes really kicked our butt this year. So any nest egg/moving stash we had is GONE!
The nice thing is that we've been fixing up the house and painting it so we like it too. We're actully going to have siding put on and a new layer of shingles too. This will be huge for our comfort/peace of mind & resale value!
Maybe next year...... *sigh*

The market is Michigan is picking up ever so slight. We are talking again of moving to either Texas or Arizona. We really have gotten tired of the cold weather and because of our health issues. I have been looking to both states for homes, we have to make a final decision if we are going to move and then get this house on the market.

I will keep you posted on oour happenings. The thought of moving again............ugh, but I will do it to have warmer weather and to not feel so yucky with the fibro.

Next year?! C'mon, we're supposed to be neighbors! LOL, I know what you mean about fixing up your house and finding that you like it! Nothing wrong with that, especially when it increases the value of the house!

Hope to see you in my neck of the woods soon!

Omigosh, Sharon I cannot believe that you are thinking of moving again! Not that I blame you...even we are thinking of just packing up and going somewhere warm! AZ's real estate market is super hot right now..it's the new Flroida, lol! My in laws moved there a few years ago and already their house has doubled in value. Can't argue with that!

we rented an apartment to stay at until our house is built. We'll close on this house on 5/31 & be in the apartment until 9/15 at the latest. But at least the apt complex is brand new, nice & has a pool, hot tub ,internet cafe & gym.

I need to get packing. DH is moving a bunch of garage stuff & tools this weekend to a storage container. Last weekend we move a bunch of rubbermaid containers frull of stuff to my grandma's. Slowly but surely we'll get it done.
I'm bummed the kids will be in an apt for the best months of the year here in Mass. 'm sad they won;t have a yard or swingset to play on or to play with all their toys.
Hopefully it will be worth it.

Aw Kel, it's be worth it! I hate that whole transitioning stage, it sucks living out of boxes! When we moved back to MA from NC, we lived with my parents while we looked for a job and a place to live. DH found a job quickly on the Cape, but it took 4 months for us to find a house, close on it and then move. Let me tell ya, it was the longest four months of my life! Living with my parents in comprable to the seventh circle of Hell, and I just wanted to have a place of my own!

This Too Shall Pass and you'll be in your house before you know it! It's still not too late to come here, yanno (wink, wink).

Well, we're about a year away from doing any house stuff. We were hoping to pay off our debts sooner but it looks like it will be October, then dh wants me to save for 6 months the amount I could to pay a mortgage. I know I should be doing that now but it just never works out. We really want to build a house but aren't sure if we will be able to. We found a plan we really liked and dh figured it would be $250,000 but I don't think that was all the after stuff(painting the rooms etc). He doesn't want to go much higher than that because our monthly mortgage would be outrageous and we still have to live and don't want to worry every month about $.
I guess we will see, but the houses around here are awful. People want so much for houses that are half what I want. Dh said maybe we should buy something then sell in afew yrs. And yes, while that makes sense I do not want to move again. And as much as I hate living in this apartment this is where we've lived when I have had 2 of my babies. Hayley was only 1 when we moved here and it will be hard to say goodbye and the memories here.... I do not want to find a house make more memories then move again.
I guess we'll see. I really want out of here before Tyleigh starts first grade because Hayley's teacher here is awful. She has caused Hayley to hate school and I do not want that to happen to Tyleigh. So we have a year and a half!
