We've been doing a lot ourselves as we can. But we needed to call in the professionals. We're having one huge cypres bush (hate those) removed. They're going to level our yard (fill in a few dips & hills) and seed two areas as well as an area where we just had a tree cut down. There are some things we'd like to do in the back yard too, but they can wait. DH had a great point that this will really improve our curb appeal. I know we're not going anywhere soon, but it's nice to feel like we're making an informed decision. We'll love it while we're here and we know it'll make a huge difference when we're ready to sell. :D
How is everyone else doing???

Sounds like it's going to be look great when they are done. It's nice that you'll be able to ejoy the yard for awhile before you move to.

As for us, we are packing & getting ready to move soon. The builder has started on the house. The hole is duge and they are getting ready to put the forms up for the foundation. I hope they get the foundation up this week or early next week.

Oh yeah, curb appeal is huge! We are getting ready to paint our house red, my favorite color for a house. It'll improve the curb appeal and increase the value, plus we'll enjoy it more. A win win situation!

Peter and I are discussing some options in regards to our current living situation. We have some big decisions to make. I'll post more on it later.

Red is such a striking color. I love it! And I know those conversations well. Hope yours is a success!

This sounds like you will really give your yard the great "curb appeal" that is needed so much these days. You will look at the yard when you are done and say....WOW!!! It changes so much when you starting pulling things out and redoing the yard. It brings back memories when we did our first house, it changed it totally.

Good luck with all the work!

Enjoy watching the foundation going in, make sure you take many pictures as you build. It is so fun to watch it go up.

We are going to talk to our real estate agent this week and make a decision to put this house on the market and we have already started looking at different areas in both, Texas and Arizona. We will be making a trip out to each area in July or August and make a decision where we want to go.
