My cousin graduated from the Texas Culinary Academy this weekend & Martin Yan was the commencement speaker!!! He was so great & his speech was so funny! It was the most fun I've ever had at a graduation cermony, that's for sure! They had a student speaker after Martin Yan's speech & the guy mentioned his fiancee like 3 times in his short speech. So Yan had the fiancee come down & made the student raise his right hand & repeat after him all these funny things. Like pledging his undying devotion to her, making her 3 meals a day, taking the trash out every single day & things like that. It was so funny b/c it was completely unscripted.

Anyway, just thought I'd share! Just in case there's any other Martin Yan fans out there!

Edited to add that for those who don't know, Martin Yan's show has been on PBS for longer than I can remember!

Oh yes I remember watching him when I was younger and laughing at his humor! I happened to catch a glimpse of him on PBS recently and he still has the same humor. How cool that you got to see him speak! Congrats to your cousin! Has your cousin cooked a gourmet meal for you yet?
