elliptical for 20 minutes every night when he gets home from work as long as I promise not to bug him about that time. Um, he is KING of finding excuses about why he doesn't/can't exercise. He told me before all he needed was the elliptical to exercise consistently/get in shape, and unfortunately I can probably count on two hands the number of times he has worked out on it.

After he said he's going to do it, he said he wishes we had gotten the other elliptical, the huge one that was so big it was not comfortable for me to use. (He did just fine on the NordicTrack we did buy.) I told him that did not make sense because of who actually uses the thing! And if we both end up using it, we should buy something that is comfortable for both of us...geez.

We just got back from the in laws, and he noticed how bad the food is up there for you. Seriously, if you want to eat healthy at my MIL's, you need to bring your own food along. Think frozen pizzas, ribs, coleslaw, chocolate milk, ice cream, chips, dip, cake, green beans but slathered in sauce, juices, soda pop, etc. At least there was some watermelon, strawberries, wheat bread, apples, bananas and Wheaties...still not all the best to eat much of though.

Cross your fingers that DH really is motivated however.

I hope your dh stays motivated.. I know that I had to continuously tell dh to go work out for a bit when he frist started.. now he is ALL about getting his time in.. he even leaves earlier for work so he can go after work.. and not be late getting home.. ( this is b/c the PAC changed to summer hours... )

As far as the food... it is hard isn't it when you dont have control of your surroundings... we ate at mil and fil's today.. and she is a WW person.. so she had made lasagne.. WW style but with tofu... UGH!!! could have done without that.. and I had a HUGE salad... and they all had regular neopolitan ice cream.. and I had a WW Fudge 1 point bar!!!!

However have to keep myself out of my kitchen.. that darn popcorn keeps calling my name.. did not have any last night with the kids and dh.. .and only had a few kernels tonight with the kids as I put some in their dish... JUST NEED TO STAY AWAY!!!!

Anyhow.. I hope he stays motivated!!!!!

Good for your dh! I hope he sticks w/ it!

And IKWYM about the IL's food. I know to pack a ton of healthy stuff when I go to my IL's. I love my MIL to death & she makes wonderful meals, but they're definitely not the healthiest things! And they have dessert after every meal- BIG desserts! (and she does make the best cheesecake.... drool....)

How are you doing, Sara??

Hugs,
Jess
