Well, I met up w/ a new running buddy named Melissa & went for a 4 mile run at 5:15!! It turns out that she's run 5 marathons & we didn't even know each other- she only lives about half a mile from me!!! Long story... but it will be fun to have someone to run with during the week!

Funny thing though, she warned me that she's a slower runner so I had told her to just tell me if I'm going too fast. We started out around a 9 min pace & then we hit the hills (I'm so used to them by now that I forget about it) She was struggling a bit w/ the hills. (she's been driving into town to run on a trail that's very flat so it's a change!) Anyway, by mile 2 she told me that I was killing her!! :emote_zbanana: We took a little walk break & then took it a little slower back to my house. She said I'm definitely going to make her faster!! :emote_party: We're meeting up at 5AM tomorrow & will do some speedwork so that will be fun! I'm so excited to have a new running buddy too! And she was so glad that I bring Mikey w/ us to run because she was scared of other dogs & I told her that he's my guard dog so no worries! Thankfully I've never had a problem w/ any dogs around here anyway....

And then, it was 6AM when I got home so I did Cathe's Pyramid Upper body workout. I feel so awesome getting in my run & weights all before my kids were up!! (and feeling a bit chatty now.... :emote_birthday09: )

Have a good one!

Hugs,
Jess

Also did WP 20 minute circle workout. I added some extra arm pulse thingies, too. I like how she does them in the accelerated workout where you raise/lower your arms for 5 counts, pulsing each time. I totally feel my triceps with that, so I did a bunch of those.
