just use some hugs. I think I posted a little bit about my Grandma going to the ER on Mother's Day. Well, she went back to the ER on Saturday & is not doing well at all. This is my Grandma that is 92 but looks like she's 70. She's always been so healthy until this past winter. She just hasn't quite been herself. I noticed it at Easter how much weaker she seemed. Mom said she just is not herself & has been in a lot of pain. There is something blocking her colon & she is on a feeding tube because nothing can pass through. They are thinking it is an advanced stage of ovarian cancer & she is going to have some laproscopy done at 9 this morning.

It just really hit me hard thinking of my Grandma & have been crying since I talked to my Mom. We are headed that way this weekend anyway because my good friend is getting married on Sat, but I just wish I could do something. I hate waiting to hear how the surgery went, I feel so helpless. So lots of prayers are being said & I know that she's in God's hands now.

OK, thanks for listening.

Hugs,
Jess

Hugs Jess. I know how hard it is to feel so helpless when someone you love dearly is so sick. Please keep us posted on how your grandma (and you) are doing. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

OK, update & it's not good news. It *is* cancer. They removed as much as they could, a pretty good sized tumor. She also had a lot of blood around it, Mom said it took a good 40 min just to get to the tumor! It was in her ovary, attached a bit to her bladder, and some in her colon. I'm not sure of many more details other than she'll go see an oncologist soon for possible chemo. She's in ICU for now recovering.

I'm glad that we're heading back this weekend, now I really want to go see her.

Hugs,
Jess

I'm sorry, Jess. That must be so hard to see someone you love deteriorate like this. It is wonderful that you and your kids have had the opportunity to know and love her for so long. But I know that doesn't change how hard this is. I hope you get better news than you are expecting. Take care.

I'm sorry, Jess. Maybe the chemo they'll recommend will be mild. My MIL (just diagnosed a couple weeks ago) will do a mild chemo that won't even make her lose her hair!

Praying for your family....(hugs)
