Unfortunately, no. She was not up for company, my Uncle Bill had gone to see her & called to say for no one to come up. And she is not doing much better today. My Mom went at lunch & said she's in a LOT of pain, they are upping her morphine drip & are bringing in Hospice... honestly I didn't think it would be this bad so fast... The Dr. thinks that the tumor had been growing about a year.
My brother is going to watch the girls so that I can go up w/ my Mom at 5 when she gets off from work. He's going to go up this afternoon, we're taking shifts so someone is with her as much as possible. I just hope they can get her in as little pain as possible & comfortable.
Thanks so much for asking. These times are always difficult & it's nice to know other people are thinking of/ praying for my Grandma.
Hugs,
Jess

Oh, Jess. I'm so sorry to hear things have gotten so bad. I hope they can make her comfortable. When you get back home, I'd love it if you could take the time to tell us about her. Sounds like she is someone who has been an important part of your life.

I'm so sorry, Jess. We just faced this not too many months ago with Timm's grandma. I hope they are able to make her comfortable.

Update: Mom & I went to see her at 5:30 & she was doing MUCH better. Mom said that the difference was incredible from when she had been to see her at noon. I guess she had had a blood clot in her bladder that was causing some tremendous pain. They got the clot to pass this afternoon & it was a huge relief for her. However, they said it's possible that she will get more. (they weren't able to remove all of the cancer from her bladder) I was so relieved to see her & she said that she was feeling better than she had since she'd been there (thank God!). She wanted me to comb her hair for her (something I've always done) so I did & she said that it felt much better. And she had to touch my hair, she's always loved my hair. The Dr. said that they will make her as comfortable as possible & make sure she has enough pain meds. It's going to be a touch & go thing, one day (or hour) at a time. My Mom is doing ok, it was really tough on her at noon & she's really tired. I'll go up & see her again tomorrow. Scot did crosswords w/ her this afternoon- her mind is still sharp as a tack.
Anyway, that's the update for now. Thanks again for all of your thoughts & prayers.
Hugs,
Jess

Ah, ever nice, that you got to brush her hair. I imagine you must be overwhelmed because you've been dealing with so much lately. Hope your gramma remains confortable and I'm sure it's very conforting to have you all so close to her. Keep your chin up and I will keep you all in my thoughts!
