I'm marathon training!!! My buddy Erin really wants to do a marathon at the end of Sept & I think I'm going to bite the bullet & try again!! I haven't had any foot probs or anything else wrong, so I think I'm ready!! We're going to stick to the beginner's program & I'm only running 4 days a week & cross training 1 or 2 days. The only problem I might run into is weekend longer runs when my dh has something going on & can't watch the kids. And since Erin's a school teacher, we can run during the week also!! :hugs: And Melissa, our other running friend will be training for an Oct marathon so it should work out pretty well!!

I'm actually kind of excited about it, now just hope I don't get injured or have any other problems!!!

Just thought I'd share!!

Hugs,
Jess

Yay! I'm totally excited for you! You'll have no problems as long as you can keep those injuries at bay. Good luck and keep us posted.

ROFL- I almost thought about that!! But I think I just posted about AF showing up so I didn't think anyone would believe me!!! No, I'm thankful to NOT be in the pg club!!

Thanks for the support, ladies!! We're going to do the Quad Cities, IA marathon. (sorry Allyn, not coming to WI, but I think it's the same weekend?) I think that my friend Michele's dh Justin (that ran the 5K w/ me) is going to do it too! (his family is from there)

I'm trying not to get too excited about it yet! Still plenty of time til the end of Sept!

Hugs,
Jess

That's great news! Good luck and keep up that stretching! (If one more sports med. dr. or foot dr. or physical therapist or massage therapist tells me that again.... I'm gonna... :) ) That's a great goal for summer, much better training now than in the winter anyway, right?!
