I was about 3 miles into a 3.3 mile run/walk and my iPod stopped working. it says that it's about 3/4 charged, and was in the middle of a song. The backlight won't go off, it still says its in the middle of the same song (20 minutes later) and I can't get any of the 'clicks" to work.
It;s about 80 degrees and it was in an armband...if that makes any difference.

oh, PLease, HELP!!!!

The only thing I can think to check is, mine has a "hold" button. On my Nano, it's on the top edge. Can barely see it. One time mine got moved to the "hold" position, which freezes everything. Good luck!!!

Mine has done with a few times; it probably just needs to be re-set. Check your instruction manual that came with it. I know yours is newer than mine, but mine says:

Connect to power outlet using the power adapter (the charger, as I call it!)
Toggle the hold switch on and off (set it to Hold, then turn it off again)
Press and hold the Select and Menu buttons for at least 6 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

It works like a charm! GL!

went to apple.com and read the instructions how to reset it. It reset and it's charging right now. I would like to find out WHY this happened so that I can avoid it in the future...think it overheated?!
