it sounds very promising!

As you know I'm selling it with an assist to sell type realtor so it's listed on the MLS and realtors can bring buyers too.

But...this was just a single guy with no realtor. He just retired from the Navy and is looking to move back home from San Diego. He was here for over an hour and we just chatted about lots of things. I was very open about the house and he was too. He said he had cash, well, at least almost all of it. He said, honestly, he's very interested. He said he hasn't looked at a lot, but he just wants to find some thing that will fit his needs and get it done with. He's flexible and can move right away or wait a month or two if we'd need the time. WOW!

He's going to call later today and he'd like to bring his SIL over to look too. They live in the same town.

Anyway, I'm trying not to get too excited, but it's hard not to. Plus, if this works, we'll save ALL that commission on the buyer side that we offered on MLS too, not just the seller side.

Okay, deep breath, I'll keep you all posted. I'm optimistic, but realistic. This is only the second showing. The market is very slow.

Anything else new happening with anyone?

I will let you all know. I'll be so excited if this goes through, I'll have to shout from the rooftop!

We actually have nothing set up to move to. We had decided that we just wanted to concentrate on selling our house first, since we didn't know how long it would take, and once we did that we'd find a place to rent for awhile. At first, we were thinking we might rent for a year and then build next year, and we were going to look for a house to rent, but now I think we'll just try to find a 2-bedroom apt. and get started on the other house right away.

I may take DH to look at that one house I looked at last week, just to have him rule it out. I did like it and it was a great area, so I'd like him to see it, but I'm pretty sure we'll still move forward with the building plan.

Kim,

That is great! Hoping it all goes well with you and he will be the buyer. It will really help saving any amount of money these days. It sure seems to be going your way, I will keep my fingers crossed and it goes well with him and his SIL. GOOD LUCK!!
