We are so relieved :) It was only on the market for a month, but since we already moved and were going to have to pay mortgage and rent simultaneously, it was important to sell it fairly fast. We got about 10K less the asking price (they offered, we counteroffered and they accepted), but they didn't ask for any contingincies like selling another home or help with closing costs, and they want to close by Aug. 12, which is cool with us!

Now we need to move forward with the mortgage process on our new home...fun, fun, fun!

I will keep you all posted...

Karen,

That is awesome!! To have only been on the market for one month, WooHoo!!
I am not sure where you live, we are in Michigan and the market is very slow and has been for the past two years. It is slowly picking up, but not to give people comfort to put their houses on the market.

Congratulations!! Hoping the reemaining process goes smooth.

Sharon,

Thanks. Our house was in Maryland, just outside of Baltimore. The market was fantastic last summer and ok through the winter, but now it is definitely a buyer's market with tons of inventory. If I let myself think about the fact that we could have easily got $25K more last year, I will go crazy, LOL.

The home inspection is today, please keep your fingers crossed.

Karen
