Everything on track?

We are just plugging along with the packing right now. We're actually just waiting for the date to come up. Since it was a cash offer, there is nothing left to do. We could've closed today or earlier, but we pushed it back to 8/15, since we can't get into the new house until 9/1.

The plan now...

The pod delivered on 8/7, fill it up, and it will be picked up on 8/15. We're closing at 10 a.m. on 8/15. Then we spend three nights at my parents house, and we are leaving out on vacation the night of 8/18. We will be gone on vacation 8/18-8/31, coming back a day early, so that we can close on our new house on 9/1. The pod will be delivered at the the new house on 9/1 and we will have until 9/7 to unload it.

Closing is tomorrow!!!!!

We ended up having to give them money to fix some cosmetic issues with the windows, which did NOT make me happy, considering they got the house for such a good price....but...our agent thought they were going to walk (or so she said), if we didn't. So, I'm just glad it's all going to be over with tomorrow, barring any surprises.

Then, we close on our new house Aug. 31. I've been furniture "window shopping" this weekend, which has been so fun!
