I was going do to the 5K on the 23rd and the Breast Cancer Run Oct. 7th. Now I'm thinking of not doing either. Just resting up til I'm 100% again and then doing the gait analysis at the running store, and working on building up s-l-o-w-l-y again over the fall and winter.

Well, I don't think I'll be running my 5K on the 23rd. <more>

I really messed up my foot and knee somehow. I really don't know how, exactly. It wasn't one thing that happened, and then it started hurting. In fact, it didn't even start hurting til *days* after my last run. Who knows. I've been icing it and taking Aleve. Saturday morning I got up and was happy to find it was feeling better. Well, after running a few quick errands I was in pain and hobbling around again. I went to work this morning wearing fairly low heeled boots (about 2 inches, thicker heels), and that seemed to make it worse. And it's not just one place that hurts...sometimes it's my arch, sometimes it's the top of my foot, sometimes it's my ankle, and sometimes it's my shin. And always my knee. I got up from my desk to go get something to drink and I felt something in my knee "move" and there I was limping again.

Oh no Allyn...that really stinks!! I'm so sorry to hear you're having so much pain. ((((Hugs)))))
and I hope you will get some answers that will help you. Please try to take it easy while you're recovering. I know it's easier said than done. Are you wearing new shoes? I wouldn't wear any heels for awhile. Do you have any Crocs that everyone has been raving about?
(((Hugs))) and hope you're pain free soon!

Yikes, Allyn! If it keeps up much longer I'd go see a doctor. That's not normal. Sorry about your runs, it's a bummer to have to give that stuff up because of injuries. I hope you heal up soon.
