I'll be away this afternoon to pick up my race packet for my first half marathon and tomorrow, we have a company event at a local amusement park. My mom is flying in tomorrow afternoon from TX to see me race on Sunday and she will be here for a week...aren't moms the best? On Sunday, my mom's brother and his wife will come down from NYC for dinner so in the meantime, if you don't see me much this weekend, you'll know that I am just busy with family stuff or cleaning up the house and not ignoring you guys.

Oh and as I was standing at the bus stop with Josh this morning, I found out my neighbor's husband (they live 2 doors down but our houses are wide apart) is also running the same race this weekend and is signed up for the NYC Marathon. She says he runs at the gym during the week and the weekend is the only time I may see him running outside for his long runs.

Enjoy your weekend!

WE are heading to cottage this weekend.

It is supposed to be 27 (80) on Sunday so I want to take the kids to beach one last time.

By next week the temps in the daytime are supposed to be a high of 40.

Sadly summer may very well end this weekend.

We will probably do a long bike into town, not great exercise because DD (5) rides her bike but it is 10km (6M) either way, so better than nothing. I pull DD (3) inthe pull behind trailer.

Well, today was errand running day & I hit some local garage sales. I got some really nice clothes for the girls - a whole load of laundry's worth for about $20!!! Greg's doing another roofing project for a guy at church this weekend so he'll be busy w/ that.

Tonight my best friend Marsha's bringing out her ds Garrett to play & spend the night w/ the girls. They're all buddies.

The tomorrow morning's my last *longer* run until the marathon!! Then I'm taking the girls to a pumpkin festival/ parade which I know they'll love! It's supposed to be a gorgeous weekend too!

Then Sunday will be church as usual & Greg's brother Brian will probably spend the day w/ us again. (he just started his JR. year of college nearby).

Winnie ~ I am sooooo excited to hear about your half marathon. Take pics & post tons of details for me, ok???? RUN, Winnie, run!!!

Hugs,
Jess

My Mom is visiting from Chicago this weekend. We are going to go w/ my DD, Emma, and MIL to an outdoor craft fair called Yankee Peddler. It is a really neat place to do some early Christmas shopping. All the vendors have to dress as people in colonial times did and all the items for sale have to be handmade, etc. All the food vendors have to cook over an open fire w/o any electricity as well. It is a HUGE fair and will take us most of the day to get through. I plan on bringing my pedometer to see how far I walk. I figure that can be my excerise for the day since I will be on my feet for most of the day.

MY DH, FIL, and both DS's are going to go to the Ohio State game while we go do our "girl thang". It will be my 3 y.o.'s first game and he is very excited.

Sunday we will probably go to church and then just hang out.

I think that is it for us. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Good luck on Saturday Winnie! I know you will do great!

I get to play "mom taxi" tomorrow & take kiddos to their "hip hop" dance classes... at least they're back to back & no time to kill in between (classes are in the next closest town over, about 10 min drive), Sunday - church & going to meet my sis to take all our kiddos to the Children's Museum in the "big city" where she lives (45 min away). That's about it! Should be plenty of time to fit in a nice walk/jog for me, too
