Tammy, how did it go at the bank?

Sorry I have been so stressed and busy I forgot to post!
Well it was good & bad.
The bank would loan us pretty much anything we need but if we get a house that's $250000 then our monthly payment would be over $1400. Dh & I both just don't want to go that high. We don't want to be only paying a house payment and nothing more. So we probably won't be able to build and right now there is not much available around here for around the 200000 to 220,000. I know i have so many things I want in a house that makes it hard. We may end up getting something and then in 5 yrs sell it to build. Of course we haven't totally ruled out building if we can find the right lot and plan but who knows.
I am annoyed with dh cause he keeps going through the mls site and finding houses that are either too small or the yard is tiny and trying to convince me that it would work. I know he just wants out of here but he is way more impulsive than you'd think. I am willing to wait and keep looking. Of course it doesn't help that I don't know where I want to live.
We live in a village, I hate it. I hate the school, the people aren't really friendly, except the bank employees. It is so hard to make friends and meet new people. We live about 25 min from where we do all our shopping and the girls ballet & gymnastics. I keep thinking if we lived in that town it would be so much easier! But it is a pretty big city, not huge but bigger than what I am used to and I don't know anyone there. I don't even know how to find out about schools to look for an area. Plus I do have 2 friends here and Hayley has friends.
So I don't know I guess I really need to just choose which place to live and look from there. Why does it have to be so hard!

It takes a little while to make decisions as to where you want to live and you really need to check out the school systems. Go to www.greatschools.net and you will be able to compare schools. It is a good thing to do.
Hoping you get what you want. I wish you all the best.
We would love to build again, we did 11 years ago and that is the house that we sold in January. We moved to this house August 05 and paid two mortgages for a few months. That was not fun, we would not want to do that again. We put this house on the market as of 05 September and it will sell when it is supposed to. We are thinking of renting something so we can build, if not then we will buy a house less expensive than this one. This house has cost us much more that we thought it would and we honestly can't do it any more. We lose money each month. Our propane bill in the winter was over $500.00 a month, electric is over $300.00 a month every month!!! Add to these bills the mortgage, two car payments, three kids and all they want and it goes on and on and on. NO MONEY LEFT OVER!!!!!!!!
