Wow...it looks great Jess! You all did a fabulous job. You're gonna love that new flooring. I had that in my old townhouse and it was so easy to maintain. Even 5 years later that stuff still looked new. We finally just had some it put down in our kitchen here in our current house to cover the nasty peel and stick linoleum previous owners had in here. It's so much better and no more impossible to remove dirt appearing in every nick on the floor.

And love looking at your marathon pictures again. You are so impressive! I'm so proud of you and all you've accomplished.

Thanks, LS!! I give my dh the credit for the hard work w/ the flooring! I did the painting & I was the official tool-getter & cleaner-upper! :emote_zbanana: It seems really easy to keep clean so far, I didn't have to do my usual Monday scrub the floor routine! :blush2: Right now we have that nasty peel & stick linoleum in our bathroom, that's the next thing to go!! :hugs:

Thanks for your sweet words!! Can you believe it's been a year & a half since we were in CA together?????? Man, that doesn't seem possible!!! How are things going w/ you? How's that sweet Daniel doing? Give him a big kiss on his sweet little head, I miss those soft baby snuggles!

Hugs,
Jess

I just posted a long update in "Minnie's" thread. I'm enjoying every moment with little Daniel. He's such a love, just like his siblings. He's all smiles and giggles. Now that I have a new laptop, I can finally upload pictures and you can see how much he's grown and changed. I hope to find some time to do that later this week.

And, no, I can't believe it's been a year and a half since we went to Winsor Wonderland. Seems like a lifetime (and 70 pounds) ago, lol. I hope to be posting here more now. HUGS!

WOW, the flooring looks GREAT Jess!!! WTG to you and your DH for an amazing job well done!! Looking at your renovation pics is so inspiring! We have linoleum in our kitchen right now too that I would love to get replaced. Was it hard to remove the carpet and linoleum?

TFS!

Jumping in to add my answer to your question Winnie. We installed the flooring right over the linoleum, so it didn't have to be removed.

Yes, we could have done it over the linoleum, but since we ripped up the carpet in the living room, it would have been uneven. The carpet & pad peeled right up, then we just made sure to remove all of the nails/ staples around the floor. The white linoleum peeled right up too, but the nasty one underneath took some chipping away. It wasn't bad though & didn't take too long.

It was fun & again I looove the way it turned out! Now for the bathroom.... another project to tackle!

I love the changes!!!! Now I'll have to come visit for sure! :)

What kind of flooring is that again? We need to redo our floors, too. My dad is Mr. Handyman (the kind of guy who comes home on a Friday afternoon and decides he wants to build a deck. Or a pond. LOL) So it's so weird for me to have a husband who is not like that at all! LOL. I know...you can bring Greg and the girls up for a weekend and Greg and Timm can do the flooring, the kids can play and you and I can visit! LOL

Looks great, Jess! My dining room floor looks alot like that only a bit lighter. We have so few windows that we have to go light or it looks like a tomb in here!! LOL!! Enjoy!

The floors look awesome. Isn't hardwood great. We did it in our LR, DR and hallway about 3 yrs ago and I LOVE IT. When we have $$ I want our bedroom done along w/ the upstairs hallway and steps. I was not going to do the kids bedrooms BUT after reading again about dust mites and such in the carpets it is freaking me out. I want it all gone LOL. My youngest has had a lot of asthma issues and I just feel better w/ it gone.

The girls look like they are having fun with the pumpkin carving!!

Great pics, Jess! That's what we're wanting to do once we get the money! I'm OVER shampooing the darn carpets all the time.

Oh, you will love it!! It was actually a lot cheaper to do than carpet!! We got the Kronotex oak laminate from Lowe's & the oak molding. I soooo love how easy it is to clean up!!! It's just gross to think about all of the *stuff* hiding in the carpet! I'm hoping it helps w/ allergies too! (now I want to do my whole house!! :P )

Awesome job Jess. Wow the whole thing turned out soooooo nice. I am still debating over whether to do hardwoods when we start some remodeling in the winter and you just made the decision a lot easier. It looks so nice and I love the new wall color. I remember the old color and the new one really brightens up the room and makes it look so homey. Greg must be so relieved to have the pink walls gone in the living room ; ) Thanks for sharing. You look great as always!!!

Thanks, Mellissa!! I think that we need to start selling wood laminate flooring, 2 of my neighbors want it in their house now too!! ;) It really did make a huge difference in there, I love it! I'm sooo glad the pink is gone, it was actually supposed to be *cinnamon* but it did NOT turn out right. I love the new color. Greg doesn't care, he's so not picky about that sort of thing, he just lets me paint! :hugs: He loves the new floor though & he did a great job on it!

Great to see you again. I read your update. Sorry you've had knee probs, I can relate!!

Hugs,
Jess
