the person who won the 4.5 walk did it in 49.... I figure there is no way this person can do this in 49 mionutes.... she had to jog part of the way.... Dh did it in 1 hour and 5 minutes.. I fugure that is pretty good for a man who has not walked at all in over a month... My thighs are killing me!!!!! *LOL*... the weather was a bit chilly but once I got going it was good.. my goal was to pass the people who who I knew were running... walking.. and I got passed quite a few of them... I was really pleased with that...
When I got to the end.. and had passed the mat.. I stopped at the recovery tent.. and once I stopped my legs really were killing me and I didnt think I could keep going... *L* but I did.. I limped along a bit.. and walked around waiting for dh to come in....
The beers were pretty good.. although I dont like the one kind it was to bitter.. but the stout was a lot like the guiness.. they have a wine kind that when I gets bottled I want to get some..
Anyhow... It was a good race.. I thanked dh for doing it with me.. and I think we will do it again next year!!!!!

WTG Michelle (and DH too)!!!! Congratulations on walking SUPER fast!!!!!
Happy to hear DH is also racing with you!! ITA with you on walking a 10 minute mile...maybe they have super long legs?
I know I wouldn't be able to walk a 10 minute mile without jogging a bit but maybe that's just me. I tend to walk at a slower pace.
Keep up the great job!
