I forgot how those wet leaves can be like walking on ice. As a result, I went head-over-heels the other night and I'm still feeling it!!! As I was on my way out the door to go to the parent meeting for my son's swim team at the highschool, I fell off my porch (slid on the wet wood, completely lost my balance) and landed flat on my back on the cement steps. THANK GOD the baby wasn't in my arms. It hurt so badly and I just lied there crying and my first thought was "OMG, this better not keep me from pilates" LOL> I was so afraid I broke something. I broke my tailbone during a dress rehearsal for Fiddler On The Roof in highschool, but there's nothing they do for that, you just have pain. In tonight's fall, I hit my tail bone again and the lowest flat of my back, the top of the thighs and my left arm all in one big fall

I was in so much pain Thursday night. I can't lie flat on my back and have no strength in my arms to roll myself over because the pain that radiates in the my back. Even lifting my tiny baby hurts because of the pain in my back. I went to the doctor's yesterday and they did x-rays on my hips and my spine and luckily nothing is broken. That's the good news! They think it's severe muscle strain and bruising and it's just gonna take time to heal.

It turns out, I would've ended up at the doctors eventually anyway, because I was also developing mastitis, completely unrelated to the fall. Luckily we caught that in the early stages. When I got to the doctors I already had a fever, which I think was contributing to the over-all achiness I was feeling after the fall. It was beginning to progress, even while i was waiting for the xrays, so it was easy to diagnose and I'm so glad I was at the doctors so I could get an antibiotic quickly to stop it before the symptoms got any worse.

My husband was concerned that the fall was related to my Parkinson's. Coincidentally, I had a bad fall when Joey was exactly the same age, only he was in my arms at the time. That fall is what finally prompted me to go to a neurologist to find out what was wrong. A few months later (after 2 years with symptoms) I was diagnosed with the Parkinsons'. Honestly, I think this accident was completely unrelated to the disease. I think I simply was walking too fast on the wet porch. It could've happened to anyone.

So they gave me a prescription for Motrin 800 and they want me to combine that with Tylenol 500. I'm in a lot of pain still and move very, very slowly. The medication helped last night and I slept better than I thought I would. Hopefully this won't last long.

That's it; the story of my fall in the Fall, lol.

As for being in love, here's a few new pictures of Daniel. And to see more go to http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p...&uid=144785 Enjoy

This second picture was taken last week at my oldest daughter Breezy's last Varsity Volleyball game. I took a onesie of Daniel's and ironed on this picture of Breezy with the "Go Breezy #16" below the picture, lol.

Rest up and hope you feel better very soon and are able to get back to PILATES!!!!! :hugs:

Thanks Donna! I was just looking at your siggie. I can't believe you're 31 weeks already. Time is flying!! Before you know it you'll be posting pictures of your new little one. Belly rubs...

oh...and I am planning on trying Winsor Pilates Back workout and Buns/thighs today to see how I handle it. I think the stretching will help my injuries. I'm feeling much better today than I did friday and saturday. The motrin is helping. I still have trouble getting up from sitting and such, but at least it's so much better than before...

Thanks Jess! Yes, my jugs are feeling better. We caught it very early. I've had it once before already since Daniel was born.

And I can bend over! Woo Hoo!! Daniel dropped his pacifier this morning and I was able to bend over and pick it up without crying. Woo Hoo!! I think my boo boo is healing.
