Busy but fun holiday for us as usual!! We had a great time at my Mom's & saw lots of relatives. We went to my Uncle's house for T'giving dinner w/ all of my Mom's relatives, met my Dad for coffee Thurs night & went out to breakfast w/ him on Fri morning, went to my IL's the rest of the day Fri, went to my Aunt Meg's on Sat, and spent the rest of the time at Mom's.

I actually think I did the *best* w/ not overeating or eating junk of any other T'giving!!! My only real *treat* was a couple pieces of my MIL's homemade chocolate black walnut FUDGE!! I skipped the pumpkin & other pies, cookies, ice cream, etc. Nothing even seemed appealing!! I kept up my workouts at my Mom's house which always helps. And I got a few *skinny & tiny* comments, always love that!! :stop:

As for the Christmas shopping, we did do some shopping also & I got some great deals!! I am about done w/ the kids shopping other than a few little things, and I even helped my Mom & Aunt pick out some things for them to give the girls. I feel like I'm ahead of the game. I bought my Christmas cards, now to start addressing them all!! :swoon: We got our Christmas pics done at Portrait Innovations a couple weeks ago- they turned out great!! I'm glad that I got them done already!

Enough babbling from me. It's good to be home as always & back to routine around here!! Back to work on laundry & cleaning up!!

Hugs,
Jess

Sounds like you had a great time Jess! WTG on not overeating and keeping up with your workouts!! :swoon: :stop: We spent almost the whole week with DH's brother's family that live nearby while DH's parents were visiting. The boys had a wonderful time with their cousins and we all managed to watch Singin in the Rain on the weekend. All the kids loved the movie and it was my first time watching the entire movie from start to finish. It's definitely a classic that should not be missed! We didn't have too many sweets which was good. I made some cupcakes for the kids and let them frost/decorate them. I left all the cupcakes there so I didn't have to be tempted to eat them all. It's much easier to watch what I eat when I didn't have the leftovers to stare at me...lol! I took the kids to a natural history museum yesterday afternoon and there was a special butterfly exhibit which was really neat! Josh was scared and wanted to leave as soon as he walked in the garden b/c of all the butterflies flying around. I had to hold onto Christian the whole time we were in the garden but he enjoyed it.

As for Christmas shopping, I'm almost done except for a few gift cards which I will buy closer to Christmas. I shopped online for a lot of items this year and got great deals at Kohl's online on Black Friday at 1:30 in the morning...lol! I still need to get pics of the kids for cards which is the only major task left.

Thanksgiving Day was a little busy for us, as usual, but the weekend was pretty relaxing. We ate at my mom's at noon on Thanksgiving, then the ILs at 4. But it was soooooooooo good! Unfortunately, I was sick with a horrible cold, so I was pretty loopy from the "non-drowsy" cold medication I took. LOL. I don't know why that non-drowsy stuff does that to me.

The kids stayed overnight at my mom's and they went to see "Happy Feet" Friday, so I got to sleep in til almost 9am Friday morning!!! :swoon: That really helped my cold! Saturday night we had a couple of friends over to visit a while. We got lots of odds and ends done around the house - Christmas lights up, bikes and stuff packed up for winter, etc.

We did have one small drama....Kayleigh's hamster died. :stop: But, we've already got a new one..."Cleo" (short for Cleopatra).

As far as Christmas goes...I'm just about done. I have something I need to order for Timm yet, one thing to order for a nephew, and then just a bunch of gift cards for nieces/nephews/teachers. Going to wait til next payday for those, though!

Good weekend here. Went to BIL for one dinner then to my parent's for another. We were so stuffed from the first one that we didn't eat at the second, LOL! Brooke and I worked out Wed. night and Thursday before we went to the dinners. Got a cardio workout in on Friday. I was super sore in my inner thighs so didn't do anything on Sat or Sunday. No leftovers to worry about eating since both dinners were somewhere else.

Brooke stayed with my parent's Thursday and Friday night. DH had to work early on Friday so it was just Tel and I mostly both days. We went out for lunch on Sat before picking Brooke up. Went to IL's Sat. evening for a bit then Tel ended up staying there. LOL. I was honestly ready to go back to work on Sat. Just bored and didn't want to do much. We put up all the Christmas decorations except the tree yesterday and cleaned some closets and most of the house. I read a ton over the weekend too. Nice!!! Read a couple good Christmas books.

Back to school for the kids today. I finished up the cleaning today and did some errands. Got my workout in before going to town. I go back to work tomorrow and now I'm not ready, LOL! So many things I want to do around here instead.
