Ingredients ::
- 1 box of Duncan Hines yellow cake mix (butter recipe)
- FILLING
- 2Cups sugar
- 16oz Sour Cream
- 12oz Fresh Frozen Coconut
- Topping
- 9oz Cool Whip
4 layer coconut cake - refrigerate 3 days for best results
bake cakes according to box directions using 2 round cake pans - let cool
Cut rounds in half, producing 4 cake roundsar
mix together filling and reserve 1 cup to topping
Spread filling between layers, using it all so it soaks into the cake - you will have 3 layers of filling.
Add reserved cup of filling to cool whip and mix together.
Pour entire amount on top of cake and spread so it goes over the sides. This will be a thick 'frosting' over the entire cake.
Cover and chill for 3 days (if you can!)
