How cool to read about our budding readers. Thanks for keeping this part of the board going. It's so encouraging!

Nick just blew through Hard Drive to Short by Matt Christopher. It's a Scholastic book that I picked up a year ago. He needed a realistic fiction book for a project due on 12/17. He seriously read this book within a couple of days. It's 145 pages and one of the biggest he's read; I believe. He balked at it at first but then just "got into it". And, he's been taking a book with him and reading a page here and there. OMG, he's turning into his mother! laugh.gif He'll do his book project with this book and now he's picked up another book by the same author of his last school book club book. It's called: Ms. Coco is Loco. The author is Dan Gutman.

Alex is re-reading the Bob Book series and he is amazed and pleased that they are all easy for him now! We've been wanting him to do this and it's great to see how far he's progressed.

Matt got a bunch of books by Matt Christopher last year for Christmas.

Right now Matt is reading a book called, "I, Jack" I believe. It's a story told from the POV of a dog.

Kayleigh is reading "Dear Pen Pal" which is the latest in the Mother/Daughter bookclub series.
