We had breakfast at a local place and discussed Catcher in the Rye. It was nice 'cause we had a corner booth and no one pressured us to leave. We were there 1.5 hours over an omelette, toast for me and eggs, toast and corned beef hash for DH. We also had hot tea!

I realized that I had read the last couple of pages "differently" than DH and that was a good discussion too.

I think this was a book that both of us enjoyed.

DH picked our next book and had it there to give to me 'cause he wants me to get going on it. I told him we've read five books since May so I think we're doing all right.

What's his book selection for next time you ask? It's: The Big Year by Mark Obmascik. It's a book about a man or men who go on a bird watching adventure. It's a true story. My DH loves birds and bird watching. It's not a book I would have ever picked up on my own so that's why I like doing these book discussions -- gets me to expand my horizons a bit. wink.gif
